How to place DNS from one hosting to another hosting

Hi Everybody, how are you doing today? Hope you are doing great. Today, we are going to learn how to place DNS from one hosting to another hosting. So, we are going to place the DNS from the best web hosting SiteGround to Godaddy. If you read my another posts then you may learn how to purchase a domain and hosting in SiteGround.

When we need to place the DNS from one hosting to another?

There are lots of hosting in the world and all doesn’t has the same features. So assume that you have a domain and hosting in Godaddy and you would like to change the hosting and purchase another one called SiteGround for great speed of your website then you can keep the domain in Godaddy and cancel the hosting then purchase a hosting plan in SiteGround once you have placed

  • Do you plan to change the hosting for more features like SuperCacher for great speed?
  • Does your hosting company has a hidden fees and charge more at a time?
  • Aren’t you satisfied with your hosting service?

How to find the DNS?

So we are ready to go now, right? First of all login to your old domain or hosting registrant like Godaddy under my products you see your domain name like the image bellow

Click on DNS and you’ll see the Nameservers click on Change

Where to place the DNS?

Once you clicked on change then you see drop down called default and custom. Select custom then two fields will be appear right there.

Take your DNS from SiteGround if you don’t how to configure this hosting then see the post and the video in bottom and pick your DNS under the ACCOUNT INFORMATION on top left comer and copy the two lines under Name Servers

Now place it under Godaddy Nameserver fileds and click on Save.


Normally, it will take 24 hours by hosting given time but it won’t take more than 30 minute to propagate. Now we are ready to build a new website under the new hosting or we can transfer the existing one from Godaddy.
